Nick Ashford Park Bench

Magdalen Islands

Blow of heart. Say we had it to 15 minutes boat from Dakar and we are not gone before! You do not hear much about this park. Is that its main island, the island Sarpanit is supposedly haunted by the djinn (spirits). Also, his name has been distorted over the years and all the false call Snake Island, and think it is invaded by the critters.

Yet the visit of the island is a very interesting experience. On arrival, you can see the cormorants on rock formations in which the arrangement of rock layers appear to have been made by an artist. One enters a lagoon with water transparent so quiet you can see the fish at our feet without a mask. Yellow fish, silver, purple, striped, swim in the bottom shell beige and pink. During the short ride, we explore the island and discovers the different coastal landscapes. It is also great fun to ride in the big baobab tree with several branches. During our visit, I explored a little further, I discovered a landscape or too beautiful. Basically large gray rocks in a crevasse at the forefront of black rocks on which white and blue waves crashing blades, and when they retire can see the green algae, a green fluorescent equivalents.

Really, seeing, and goodbye. Too bad I have not visited this place before ... It really seemed to be very far from Dakar. Especially it is inabitée (and protected) so protected from pollution.
